As I understand it the match ref only agreed the game could proceed about 20 minutes ago.

Spinless performance from the Lillywhites there today.

No spirit, no character, no unity, no fight, no passion, no pride - NOTHING.

Too many narky little snarlers not fit to wear the shirt. Always biting, criticising and having a go at each other. Selfish and demorilising, where is this excellent team spirit the manager assures us of? Understand this is a transicion period for the club but it's not as rosy as some people make out.

Bad, bad day at the office today.

I totally agree L23's summary of the game and his/her reference to the managers remarks of... "team togetherness" we read these remarks week in and week out in the Crosby Herald report, they may work off the pitch but not on it where it really matters  However everyone says its Lynch's first season in charge and he has a lot to learn and has to be given a chance, and a chance I am prepared to give him however...lets hope he learns quick and fast before its too late!! After all, he has been a player a long time, and not in anyway nieve in the tactics of the game. We should not have lost this game today an inept performance all round. :x

While I agree that a lot of the game it was not our best performance, had some of the excellent chances been taken... a ball rebounding kindly off the post onto Jamie Rainford and in, or the header glanced instead of being met perfectly we would have won this game. Neither team was full of togetherness, nantwich showed flashes of brilliance and huge periods of mediocrity as did Marine. Compared to last boxing day this was excellent, some people need to understand that this is not the worst team they have seen... that was last seasons spineless horrible pile of nasty toerags and gormless violence chasers. We have how many players from last seasons aborations????

We lost a game of football that had luck and a couple of strange decisions gone our way that we could have won easily. I followed watching the whites with a game from the horrible permier league where a decision went the home teams way and they won 2-0. At no point were liverpool playing better than the Marine team i saw today, however they managed to win the game. I know which match I was happy to watch and it wasnt the premier league game.

Can I please point out that without the help of many people you wouldn't have had a game to watch, stewards committee men and other volunteers made todays game possible and despite a few moans from some people I for one was glad it took place. I dont think the team is brilliant however to say they were spineless is plain wrong, and you have to look from the side of it has been worse, they weren't prescot and we didnt lose 3-6!!!!!

Fair comment. Overly harsh assessment from myself last night. Now the dust has settled you are correct with your assessment of missed chances, the Rainford one off the post was unfortunate, though Hussey's opportunity from near the penalty spot was more disappointing for me - for such a clean striker of the ball he will have been disappointed not to have done better.

Frustrating times, nowhere near as bad as the last season under McDonald however. Dead-on with your summary of that shower of players (the betting scandal being the feather in the cap). Does seem that there's a bad attitude among many of this group of players too though, far too quick to snipe and bite at each other. Almost like a blame culture at times for me.

Thank you for all who managed to get the game on yesterday, result and performance aside it's still much more important than that.

I thiught Kevin highlighted the problem with the Nantwich game in the herald on thusrsday. We missed Lee Parle in midfield.

Well just off the top of my head.... we have 9 at least!!!!!
Lynch
Brazier
Cumiskey
Parle
Hussey
McMahon
Fowler
Doyle
Rainford

I dont think you could call Darren Brookfield any of the above names!!! so if you have a problem philj with other players you should name them and not tar many talents like Brookfield and Olsen under the same brush.

Doh!

I think any serious Marine fan that attended games last season will know the players in question.

So why ask Phil to name them? Total mischief I think.

It's crazy to suggest that he was eluding the players like Darren Brookfield, James Olsen, Sean Lake etc.

All you need to do is look at the disciplinary record to see who the main offenders were.
