Bridges at RNS LIVE! Primary
RNS LIVE! Primary is a concert created specifically for primary school groups, giving young people the chance to hear Royal Northern Sinfonia perform live in the brilliant surroundings of Sage Gateshead.
Presented by experienced music educator Rachel Leach, the concert will feature water themed music from the orchestral repertoire.
There will also be a special screening of the film Bridges with live orchestra. We would love for your school to join us!
What is Bridges?
Sage Gateshead presents Bridges – a brand new animated, musical adventure by Ed Carter and Katie Simmons, featuring animation by NOVAK and music recorded with Royal Northern Sinfonia.
Bridges is a magical tale following the journey of a man, a dog, and their small fishing boat, overcoming a series of challenges as they navigate the River Tyne to an incident at Dunston Staithes, the largest timber structure in Europe.
This animation introduces the bridges as colourful characters of the River Tyne.
Bridges was originally commissioned for the Great Exhibition of the North and we are thrilled to be performing it once again as part of RNS LIVE! Primary.
